LORDY DORDIE X ELLA & SUNDAY

Georgina Forbes of Lordie Dordy is a self confessed lover of bold, beautiful colour. She says it's one of the most important elements she uses to create life and heart in her designs. Besides colour she explores nature, patterns, & still life right through to the absurdly abstract using different mediums to create her signature style.

Bush Blooms was constructed through a hands-on process of cutting and collage, a creative process Georgie doesn’t often use. Each individual piece, inspired by Australian native flowers, was carefully cut from black paper and pieced together like a well-fitting jigsaw. Georgie says it was a joyous experience to see the floral composition come together so harmoniously, celebrating the beauty of native Australian flora with a bold, graphic style.
